| New Year Post
back in the day of DNA, i bowled in the company bowling league. during that time i switched from a straight ball to one with spin. it served me well as i ended up winning my first ever trophy! well i broke my first nice bowling ball- it cracked like an equator. i just found it in the closet like that. after 2+ years of bowling ball distress using my straight ball i got from my dad in 10th grade, i took my bday and xmas gift money and bought myself my new bowling ball.

today my brother and i bonded over bowling. seems like we do this pretty well. who would have thought. we are a bowling kinda family. well here were the results of game 3. i bowled my best game EVER!

the other day i was bored and took a bunch of pics of myself.. again here's one where i think i look pretty silly.

yay!

so readers please check that out. i haven't seriously taken photos lately but here is what i did this morning with my extra time.

this is the wedding party photo of my water bottle containers. i switched to kleen canteens, brita-ing my water and re using waterbottles for all my sports activities. thought i'd show them off for some reason.

| open your car door and smell the freshness.
imagine... its the early morning just like any other day in sf bay area. sunny, cool and crisp. you are making that last turn into the parking lot where you have worked for the last 5+ years. listening to the Fray "how to save a life" you park you step out of your car only to smell that distinctive smell its surprisingly comforting. and it smells so good you just crave it for your next meal.
ahhh donuts!
after all this time i finally saw these donuts in the store. so i had to buy them.
and yes the box was opened i had to sneak a donut hole in before hand.

| This and That
so the Audi has served me well over the years. I love that car. recently though its encounter some issues. one of which has been very annoying. my sun visor broke. literally fell off my car while i was driving. so after finding out from the dealership that it would cost $600 (no kidding!) to replace. i was definitely sure not to replace it. just suck it up like all the other dings. why does it cost so much- the home link (which i have no use for), the illuminating mirror connection, the protection from the sun in your eyes and of course the OEM Audi name.
well my friend who's husband has an audi told me to check out stuff on ebay and finally i did go for it (after months of not having a sun visor and driving home for 2 hours from merced with my arm up holding a map to shield the sun in front and to the side of me). to my disbelief i found them a PAIR of used sun visors for about about 40 bucks. last week i bid on an item for $31 bucks and won! I received the goods and installed myself and there you have it an almost new audi. back in action! AND i have a spare for when the passenger side breaks. what a deal!

the old sun visor going into the circular file.
Another thing i needed were some new tennis shoes. the old ones were just getting too beat up. ive been playing a lot of tennis. after rolling over my big toe twice chasing after a ball i decided to go for another pair. went to the local tennis pro shop to support the mom and pops. here's what i ended up with. my nice new pair of tennis shoes
what an interesting life eh. yay. nothing beats an upgrade.
